| Post subject: | R5A12 Auto Install Problem |
I tried to install R5A12 but was not able to finish, because i was not able to enter a passwort (no cursor in the textbox to enter any text), when the script wants to add a new user. Any idea, why this happens? My HW is a Biostar M7NCG 400 µATX using the on board GPU, Sempron 2200 and 512MB DDR |

It is working as designed: the password prompts don't show what you type, nor do they show "x"s or "*"s for each character. However, they are taking input. Type blindly, and hit enter to submit the password. -brendan |

Yep, you're right. Even the stansars console login does this... Maybe i've got to much Windows stuff around here... Thank you. Jürgen |
