I accidentally posted this under Hints & Tips. Maybe a moderator could remove that one? Sorry.

I'm installing to the hard drive for the first time. The install seemed to go well, but when I try to watch TV I get a blank screen. The only part of the install I think may not have gone right is the 4th step of mythtv-setup, Input Connections or something. That was blank and couldn't see how to add anything.

Anyone have this working with a PVR350? Anything special to get it working? (I would also like to be able to use the remote and and TV out on the card)

Also, how about MythWeb? Can that be installed?

WHat about other software, like Samba and Webmin? I tried to Upgrade webmin but that failed.

Thanks,
James

If it was blank are you sure you performed step 2?

R4 will include support for the PVR-x50. I tested it extensively on the 250, but I don't have a 350.

All the Myth modules are install.

Both Samba and webmin are already installed.

Yeah, pretty sure the first three steps of mythtv-setup went without a problem. That's ok, I'll wait for R4 for built in support for the 350.

Any rough ETA on that release?

Thanks,
James

Friday? COOL!
So I'll wait 'til then and start a new try to get an ISO-Image.

HTPC and WinXP is running. But it's not very stable (because it's M$ inside ?!).
Yesterday, I bought a new HDD to install KnoppMyth on a FRESH media

Is R4 going to be based on MythTv .11 or MythTv .12?

Thanks,
Mike

0.12! Doing testing and building packages. At this point, Dale and I are testing, testing, testing... I know some folks would be happy to help test R4(which is greatly appreciated), but at this point we are down to the wire and know what we have to work on(still doesn't mean a bug or two won't show up :o ).

What kernel is R4 going to be compiled with? specifically will it have the nforce chipset support?

2.4.21. I've included the nforce drivers and a script that checks for the nforce ethernet adapter. If found, the drivers will be made and nvnet module installed. The other modules are made, but not installed. Everything else should work if not, the modules are there...

Wow you guys rock I never expected to get the nvnet drivers installed for me. I just have to have the nforce chipset support in the kernel or it won't install because it can't access the rtc.
