I've been tring for 3 days to install this and having no luck at all. I've probably made 6 cd's. Burning them as slow as nero will let me--8x.
Right before it finishes installing, a lot of error messages pop up on the screen. White letters on black background. They go by so fast I can't read them all. Most say something about not beeing able to find or read something. Then the last screen comes up saying install was succesful and to reboot. Upon reboot, an error message comes up...

LILO 22.6.1 Loading Linux......

Block move error

0 - signature not found

I know almost nothing about linux. Any help anyone could give me is greatly appreciated.

the specs on the comp are:

Asus cusl2-c w/1 Ghz PIII
Maxtor 250 gb hard drive
50x cd rom
Geforce 3 Ti 200
A firewire card w/TI chipset
soundblaster Live!
No nic--knoppmyth kept locking up tryng to get an ip address so I pulled it out
512 meg of memory

I figured out the problem. I have had this machine overclocked for 3 years without a problem. 1.12 ghz is not much, but it was enough to keep knoppmyth from booting. I did a re-install, but keep getting the same errors near the end. But it does start up now. I've got several other problems now, chief among them is that MYsql is not configured properly and will not get the channel guide, but that is a problem for another section.....

Sounds like the install didn't actually complete...

That's what I thought too. So after I clocked it back to stock, I re-installed.
But I still am getting the same errors just before it quits. They go by so quickly that I cannot read them all. Does knoppmyth make any log files during install? Maybe a log has in it what did not install. I also don't have a capture card in the machine. Could that be a problem? I don't plan on using one because I am going to record from my Motorola DCT-6412's firewire port.
