Hi, I've just installed KnoppMyth R5a16, and I just started testing stuff. So I tried playing a DVD and it doesn't work... Does knoppmyth recognize DVD players during installation? When I go into Play DVD I get an error libdvdread: could not open input: No such device or address libdvdread: Can't open /dev/dvd for reading /dev/dvd is there, it points to /dev/scd0. What do I need to do to get this working? Thanks Ricardo |

sounds like for some reason the scripts did not finish running on your install, because /dev/dvd should be linked to /dev/hd? generally that is /dev/hdc if your dvd device is secondary master. also hd? should be in the cdrom group. |
