PRV-250 to DVD-R ![]() Has anyone successfully burned a DVD without using another piece of software to re-encode it? I have tried numerous settings and nothing seems to work. Here are the settings that I’ve tried. NTSC Video 352x480 MPEG-2 Hardware Encoder Stream Type: MPEG-2 PS Aspect Ratio: 4:3 Bitrate 2500/2500 Audio Codec: MPEG-2 Hardware Encoder Sample Rate: 48000 HZ Type: Layer II Bitrate 224 Volume: 90% I’ve also tried changing the video to: 720x480 Bitrate 3500/5000 I’m thinking that maybe my problem maybe with the software I’m using to burn. I’ve tried: NeroVision Ulead DVD Workshop Ulead DVD Moviefactory 3 I copy the file from Myth over to my Windows XP PC and rename the file to .mpg. Can anyone who has successfully done this with a PVR-250 please post your capture settings as well as the software that used, as well as any special options you had to check in the software. Thanks everyone Bill |

Post subject: | Update |
Well I can believe that no one but me is doing this. But I do have an update. It turns out that I'm retarded. It has not been confirmed by a doctor but I'm pretty sure that I am officially retarded. Re-multiplexing from what I can figure out is the process of converting the mpg file to a Vob file. So on that note everything has been working correctly. But I still have a small problem. When I use the setting on the original post. the finished video has this stutter every 5 sec or so. (the whole video shakes rapidly). Is there a setting that causing this to happen. I hate when the wife says...."wow that stuttering is annoying can you fix that?" Other then the shacking the video and sound looks as good as the original. By the way I did make a appointment with my family doctor to talk about medication. ![]() |

Have you searched the MythTV archives? LOTS of stuff there on DVD creation. For instance...http://www.gossamer-threads.com/perl/mailarc/gforum.cgi?post=104471;search_string=dvd;guest=2173436&t=search_engine#104471 Start up top... |

Thanks for the fast reply. I have searched that forum but all of the application they are referring to are not Windows applications. I'm not very good at Linux and I'm afraid that I would muff everything up if I tried that. I know I'm real close. Where do I go to sign up to post on that forum? By the way: I know I've said this to you before but I'll say it again. Thank you for all of your hard work. A newbee like me would not have even attempted MythTV if it wasn't for you and your fellow developers. Bill |
