I hope this is not a completely stupid question but having seen reference in how to do this yet.

I have 2 IDE drives in my system, hda and hdb that are being detected. The first drive is an 80gig drive and the second drive is a 160gig drive.

I'd like to have knoppmyth install the system files on the 80gig drive and use whats left on that drive as well as the whole 160gig drive for storage.

using the auto-install option on knoppmyth R5A16, it installs everything on the 80gig drive with no mention of my second drive.

How do I go about doing this?

No, it isn't a stupid question. It however has been covered numerous times.

The LVM how to on the wiki is probably a more informative place to start.
