My first knoppmyth install. Previously had a FC3 based one that needs to be started over.

Yes i've searched the forum
Yes i've read the wiki.
Yes, I have a new-ish (<1 yr old) motherboard with only USB connectors.

Looks like R5A22 still has USB issues on install. Any other hints on things to try? I've tried the suggested "USB legacy mode", and un-and-replugging the keyboard during the boot. No luck.

Also - from the wiki -

"Avoid USB! There are known issues with this with no known cure"

Can anybody explain why knoppix has these problems? I've certainly never had it under Fedora. I thought the whole USB keyboard problem had been solved by Apple about 9 years ago.......

thx. j

Hi,
I only had to do the un plug / replug during the install. Wait untill the install menu is displayed then do the plug trick. All my lights lit up, turn them off and then the arrows should work. There is a slight delay for key presses. With the num lock light lit, the arrow keys acted funky.

Hope this helps.
Mike
