I have a faulty mobo and IDE devices dont seem to work too well when pluged in as IDE 0, so i have my HD and my DVD burner as master and slave of IDE 1. Is there any way I can overwrite the defaults durring knoppmyth's set up to install on my hardware. I have searched the forums and all I have found regarding my problem was plug it into IDE 0, which is not an option in my case. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Oh, btw, if no one can figure it out, its no big deal, I'll just load MythTV on an Ubuntu box, but that may prove to be outside of my abitily level, as I am somewhat of a noob, So I'd rather not.

You will just have to use the manual install option instead of auto and you that should get you through.
