I installed the latest version of Knoppmyth yesterday. (Auto install) Everything went fine so far. But: During installation process i had no option to change to german (e.g. keyboard) Post installation runs directly in to myth-setup without asking for language and i did not find any option to change it afterwards ? I use a dvb-t card and normally during the mythtv-setup you will ask to change to console to choose which channels you like from xmltv to be scanned for EPG data. But this was not possible with knoppmyth ? I searched the forum but did not find any hint. Anyone who had these problems before ? |

As SU you could change the file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 with vi or nano: search for section "input device" Within this section Keyboard0, then change Option "XkbLayout" "us" -> Option "XkbLayout" "de" Caution, I'm running version R5A16, maybe the config files for X-server have changed with new versions. The keyboard should be ok, at least after restarting X I have to search for language selection and how to change this.... |

You could run setup/utilities from the main menu of mythfrontend. In one of the following screens you can change the language to 'German' There is a recent post dealing with german grabbers and EPG data of DVB-S cards: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6947&highlight=dvbs+astra The answers in that post could help, especially with grabbing problems. Besides the above mentioned setting in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 (for me in Switzerland I changed it to "de_CH") and changing the language to "German" in setup/utilities from the mainmenu of mythfrontend I also did a Code: dpkg-reconfigure console-data
to set the keyboard layout I wanted to have in consoles. |
