I'm hoping someone out there can help me out. I have a MythTV Setup that's _almost_ there. I did the KnoppMyth install, read what I found of extra postings and made a lot of headway so far. I have a system w/ a PVR-250 and NVidia MX440 graphics card. I installed what I needed for encrypted DVDs and I can now view them, play CDs, import/rip my music collection and even have full Hauppauge silver remote fully working. the ONE thing I can't get working is the "Watch TV". When I try to watch, the screen goes blank and neither the escape key nor the back button gets me out of it. The odd thing is that when I try the MythPhone, since I don't have a webcam installed yet, it defaults to /dev/video (linked to /dev/video0) and I can see the tv video _there_! So I know the card is recognized and actually works, just not under MythTV itself. Does anyone have a clue to what the problem might be? Let me know if you need more info and thanks in advance. Hi MalFal, Quote: can see the tv video _there_! That shouldn't be. Something is not properly done in mythtv-setup. Maybe default input isn't tuner?
If I plug in a usb web cam, then I get exactly what you are describing. Mike |
