Hello all, While attempting an auto or manual install, I seem to get this error just after formatting the hard drive modprobe error: can't locate module: block-major-3 line 608 / 1000000 syntax error operand expected error token is "/ 1000000" I did find on the cd looking for anything block-major, but I didn't have any success. Can anyone tell me why i'm getting this error, and what to do about it? Thank you, Mike |

| Post subject: | Re-execute KnoppMyth-Setup, install ok, however Kernel panic |
After the install script fails, if I reexecute KnoppMyth-Setup, I can get the install to complete, all seems well. However after I reboot I get a kernel panic when the system tries to modprobe block-major-3... block-major-3 ... hmmm thanks again, mike |

... don't install knoppmyth on a SLAVE or SECONDARY IDE channel. For me it only seems to work if it's master on the primary channel... funny (-; |

yes autoinstall will only install on primary master ide drive. It will not install on a slave or raid or scsi, or anything other than primary master. |
