i read the issues on sata disks, but i have a problem i can not find on the forum:
With regarding to all settings and extra changes with regard to sata disks, i keep the following problem:
When manual installation: Copying files goes no further than 30~45 %, after that the cdrom spin stops.
No errors

System

AOPEN AX45F-4DN
1 Gig memory
MAXTOR 250GB sata

I Burned at the lowest speed possible, Switched to NoDma etc etc.

Anybody has any tips?

Sounds like a bad CD-rom. I think there is a program in knoppmyth that will check your CD-rom for you. Though I don't know what it is or how to use it. Maybe somebody else will know?

Search the forum for "testcd". It's an option when you boot from the CD but you need to use something else with it.
