i read the issues on sata disks, but i have a problem i can not find on the forum: With regarding to all settings and extra changes with regard to sata disks, i keep the following problem: When manual installation: Copying files goes no further than 30~45 %, after that the cdrom spin stops. No errors System AOPEN AX45F-4DN 1 Gig memory MAXTOR 250GB sata I Burned at the lowest speed possible, Switched to NoDma etc etc. Anybody has any tips? |

Sounds like a bad CD-rom. I think there is a program in knoppmyth that will check your CD-rom for you. Though I don't know what it is or how to use it. Maybe somebody else will know? |

Search the forum for "testcd". It's an option when you boot from the CD but you need to use something else with it. |
