Will the tv work without the database of channels? I had no problem with the KNOPPMYTH install. I set up the back end, but didn't fill the direct data set because I have a D-LINK GWL-520 extreme G card and I'm looking for the driver for it. (MADWIFI.NET?) so, I fire up the front end and hit enter on MYTHTV and all I get is 'green screen with static.' also, Why is the mouse so flaky in the backend??? It appears and disappears making it difficult to control. |

It won't work without the channel database filled in, because that's where mythtv gets the frequencies for tuning. It's like turning on a radio straight from the factory, it's not likely that it will be on a valid station. The mouse is flaky because mythtv was designed to be used by a keyboard/remote thus the mouse is generally hidden by design. |
