I selected the Manual Install and then option to partion the drive and it brings me to cfdisk. Which file type is for JFS or XFS ? or is it that I can't setup JFS or XFS with cfdisk?

cfdisk is just to create the partitions. It does not format the partitions. XFS and JFS would just be setup as linux, though at this time there are no options on what filesystem to use on install. You'll have to go back and reformat the drives you want to.

As a linux noob, I have no experience with XFS or JFS (or ext3 for that matter).

My system is similar to a Dragon system (different motherboard) and I've got dual HD3000 cards. I've noticed a huge system delay when deleting shows (5-7 GB/hour). I recently switched to XFS following instructions at knoppmythwiki.org (great site) and have noticed a huge improvement when deleting shows.

I tried to find benfits of XFS vs. JFS and found very little information and nothing relating to pvr use. The only info I found was that JFS was marginally faster at deleting and XFS was faster at writing (is this true?).

Does anyone here have a preference for XFS or JFS for the video partition?

What does this have to do with the above query or installing KnoppMyth?
