| Post subject: | PVR500 can't tune |
I'm an old hand at linux, but new to mythtv. I've just built a new machine with the following hardware: Asus K8N (nForce) Sempron 3300+ Nvidia GeForce MX4000 PVR500 I've installed Knoppmyth R5A30. My prblem now is that I am unable to get the PVR500s to tune in a channel. Initially, the ivtv lines from dmesg was setting the tuner to 4 (NoTuner) but I manually set it to 57,57. But all I'm getting is snow. My video source is just two channels (63 and 75) coming from my modulators downstairs and being sent through my home video distribution. So when I set up my account at zap2it, I told it to use the local cable system, and then unchecked all channels but 63 and 75 so I would at least have some guide data for those channels to test with. If I run mplayer on /dev/video0 or /dev/video1, and use ivtv-tune to select the channel, still all I get is snow. I took the PVR500 card out and put it in my wife's XP machine and downloaded the trial version of BeyondTV to check the card, and it worked fine. Any ideas? |
