title says it all...

kinda newb to linux. i can use it, i just can't install, configure, troubleshoot or fix it

anyway, i run the install off the cd. have to manual edit the modules file to get it to load the module for my network card (3c509).

when it runs the initial config program, the DHCP broadcast fails. it continues, and when it's done I see something about it restarting the backend and not finding any processes to kill, and then an error about creating /root/.qt

any help would be appreciated.

from what I have seen going throught the forums, the error for the /root/.qt file you can just ignore
