The hard drive on my mythbox just crashed and I decided to install R4V3. When I connect the cable directly to the PVR350 (no cable box) everything works great. When I connect it from the Cable Box to the PV350, all I get is static; but when I connect this same cable from the cable box to the tv itself, everything is fine. It just does't make sense.

Just wondering if there was some new option screwing me up in R4v3. If not, i'll just try installing R4v2 again and hopefully that would work.

well when you connected up to the cable box did you just connect to it and do nothing else or did you try to do all the appropriate setup like make sure the card is tuned to ch 3/4 whatever it needs to be, and define an external channel change command to actually change the channels on the cable box via irblaster or serial connection. There are probably more steps, but I'm not familiar with them, because I've never used an external box of any sort.

OMG I'm an idiot. Your right, I did not set it to channel 4. My brain is getting fried by finals. I should be studying for those instead of messing with this
