I can successfully use individual Boot: options such as tv, but cannot seem to combine them after hitting F2. At the top of the screen it does say they can be combined, but I can't fiigure out the syntax. I need to use tv and knoppmyth no-apic.

Perhaps: tv no-apic?

I've tried the following and my reasoning why it doesn't work.

knoppmyth no-apic <some delimiter here ,| etc> tv

tv sets it to 800x600 so when this doesn't happen, I know it is only taking the first option. Certain delimiters produce errors most oftern informing me there is not such script.

Did you try my suggestion? You can always configure X after work for 800x600 or disable APIC in your BIOS.

Yes, however it errored out saying it couldn't find the script file. I have disabled APIC in BIOS, but continue to get spurious IRQ 7 errors during install and boot afterward which I suspect is related to APIC or Local APIC. I want to get to the point where I can have a relatively stable system before I compile the kernal to get apic out.

You can safely ignore "spurious IRQ 7".

I don't really understand the boot option and how it is used. Could some please provide some additional information.

Is this a solution for disabling apic on the nforce2 boards that cause occasional hangs?

Is there a no APIC option in R4V2?

Thanks,
Mike G.
