| Post subject: | R5A22 upgrade to R5B7 |
In the past it wasn't recommended to upgrade to the latest version of Knoppmyth if you were running R5A22, and with the release of MythTV 0.19 the newest Knoppmyth would have an upgrade path. I've been trying to find any info with the release of R5B7 on upgrading from R5A22. Is it completely transparent? or not? Thanks duhasst |

I had been keeping a drive with R5A22 on it in working condition until the .19 release (R5B7). The result of and auto-upgrade was I kept all my data and recorded programs, and 'watch recordings', webmin,weather, etc. worked out of the box'. But it wouldn't record and thus live tv didn't work. Yes you can upgrade from R5A22 to R5B?. There are small issues with the upgrade, however I don't really thing those are R5A22 specific like the ivtv and msp3400 problems. |

We've been telling R5A22 users "no" for so long I think this deserves some shouting.
