first of all maybe a newbie area is wise to create (since this knoppmyth is according to many the bomb compared to the Windowsvariants)

second i installed( or better the CD installed) it completely without any problems during install)
after rebooting the monitor went 'black' and i tested the other videochannel, only this was also 'black',then i connected the cable to the S-video of the shuttle and i got a screen..
after setting up the configuration,
i rebooted the system and again the same as mentioned above,
now on the 'general screen' same as on the 'real'screen,
i only see 'the top left of the screen' (if you split a normal screen into 4 parts)

all conclusive, can somebody please help me getting this thing started

Not sure if you're in a NTSC area, but if you are in PAL, you will need to modify the file before doing this:

After a clean install, make sure you install the nvidia drivers. From an x-term, type "install-nvidia.sh"

Then, do the following:

cp /usr/X11/XF86Config-4 /usr/X11/XF86Config-4.ORIGINAL
cp /usr/X11/XF86Config-4.nvidia.sample /usr/X11/XF86Config-4

After a reboot (or X restart), you should be able to get output via SVIDEO from your shuttle's built-in svideo port to your tv.

MAKE SURE IN THE BIOS YOU SETUP THE NTSC-M option.

This worked for me on my shuttle sn41g2 box.

im in the Pal region ( the Netherlands)..
does that mean i still have to set the ntsc-m option
the weird thing is,i couldn't find a 'ntfs-m' in the bios in the past

second i want to use the PVR-350 as out to the TV,
what do i need to do for this??

Well don't have this system or anything, but I would think that if you are connecting to a pal tv you would not want to choose ntsc-m for tvout in the bios. My guess would be that you would choose pal-? .
