Less things are working now. I posted this in another area but I think it's probably better off here:

The kernel / usbcore is giving some whacked out errors that worked fine in R5E5, but since reinstalling (Note that I did not backup anything, I whacked R5E5 and put a fresh install of R5F1 on my box)

I've tried both a Phillips CMOS and a Logitech Quickcam Messenger on my Knoppmyth box, which both worked fine with the R5E50, but for some reason result in a Kernel Crash with version R5F1.

lsusb works fine before the camera is plugged in, if I start with the camera plugged in the system hangs at boot. Here is how my lsusb looks with out the cam plugged in:

root@danes-mythtv:~# lsusb
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0609:031d SMK Manufacturing, Inc.
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 045e:0047 Microsoft Corp. IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0566:2802 Monterey International Corp.
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
root@danes-mythtv:~#

once I plugin the camera lsusb will no longer work... sometimes an error message will post to the terminal

Here is an output of the crash with the Logitech Cam:

I've googled and looked around on the forums but I can't seem to find anything... please help I live in teh ghetto and I needs my knoppmyth security system

if it's plugged in at boot, it will freeze, if i plug in after boot, lsusb locks and the stack dump appears on the console. the system remains stable, minus the ability to read the camera, the usb IR still seems to work when the system is in this state.

thanks!
