I am using the Abit VP6 it has worked so far except I can not use the Ultra DMA 100/RAID - High Point HPT370 IDE Controller When I plug the drives into the HPT370 connectors the system hangs on start up. In the standard IDE ports I have no problems. I have a failry underpowerd machine but it still works because I have a PVR-250. The video and audio was stuttery until I fixed the DMA. I posted this in Tier 3 because I don't think the HPT370 raid controller works. I could be wrong. And I hope I am. --- you are what you do so I am a typer. Um... just makeing sure here. The HP 370 raid controller should only be used for IDE hard drives. I've seen wierd results when using cdrom or ide zip drives on the ports. If you're trying them with ide drive's, post back and I'll go through my records for the config on that machine. (It's currently a firewall in the other room and I'd have to plug in a monitor and kb to look at the old kernel configs.) Best, |
