Sorry for the newbie question, but I did searches and couldn't find answers.

Where/how do I change my capture resolution in MythTV with PVR350? It seems to default to 480x480 which looks fine, but makes authoring DVDs impossible. I know it's probably as simple as changing a config file somewhere, but where?

I'll probably also configure X-Windows for lower resolution than 1024x768, but read somewhere that other resolutions weren't optimized so they run slower. Is this true? My idea was to reduce CPU load with stretching the video to full screen (or does my Radeon do all that anyway). Or does this matter?

Also, if anyone can recommend guides/cheatsheets for where all the Linux configuration files are located (and what they do), I'll be eternally in your debt. I keep thinking I'm spending all my time looking for unknown config files to change settings.

In MythTv:

Setup -> Tv settings -> Recording Profiles

Thanks. I didn't realize it was so easy. I thought I'd looked through most of the menus, but I guess not.
