I am not sure if I phrased that right. I have seen other people have done this, but not sure how they did. I want to spin through the database and set ALL of the channels so that when I change to it (or select a channel from the EPG) that it will always change to channel 3. Reason is I have Dish Network and will be having it change to a channel on it's own scheduler (or manually change it myself), but I still want myth to "think" it is chaning to this channel so when I record something I can get the program information. Basically have myth "think" it is changing the channel but it is really changing/staying on channel 3. Only thing I have found, and I just want to be sure I am using the correct field is update channel set freq_id = 3 Will this do it? or should I use a different field? Thanks in advance. |

I think that is the field. the best way to solve this is to use an irblaster, so mythtv does change the channel on the sat box, and you don't have to do it manually. I've never worked with this situation, but there are many posts on this board and the mythtv list about it. |
