Is there a way to remove modules (MythNews, etc) from the main menu? I've installed the debian package mythtvsuite according to Jarod's guide, so I got everything. I only use TV, Music, & Weather, so I'd like to remove the other modules.

I tried "apt-get remove MythNews" but it wants to remove mythtvsuite, too!

Thanks!
Chris

so are you using knoppmyth or aren't you? I've never used the mythtv-suite, but it shouldn't hurt anything to remove it, because it will just be a dependancy package to make sure you have everything you need. once everything is installed you shouldn't need it. That said if you search the forums there are some threads about editing the xml files to remove menu items. And you are aware that knoppmyth doesn't use the packages you are speaking of?
