| Post subject: | Trouble subscribing to ipodfeed |
Hi, I am fairly new to mythtv and am trying to make the myth2ipod process work on my myth box. I have changed the permissions for /myth/ipodfeed to 777 and have been able to subscribe to the podcast from iTunes. iTunes shows me all the available recordings but when I try to download them it gives me an error message saying There was a problem downloading "name-of-the-recording". The network connection could not be made. Has anyone seen this problem? Thanks. KM R5F1 |

Did you change the IP address in the myth2ipod script to reflect our backend's IP address? |

That did it! Thanks so much. I had to hand edit the existing xml and php files, but that did the trick. And, yes, I also modified the myth2ipod file as well. Thanks again. KnoppMyth Rocks! |

Well, I spoke too soon! The files now download into iTunes and also play within iTunes. However, I am not able to play them in the iPhone. All I get is a static image on the screen (maybe the first frame) and the audio. The video does not play at all. Any ideas? |

Well, I copied the .mp4 files directly into iTunes (instead of thru the Podcast) Video folder. After I synch this with the iPhone it plays fine. This means, there is something wrong with the Podcast -> iPhone flow. Will research some more and post my findings back here. |

Did you change the default myth2ipod transcode settings? I can sync with my iPhone, but the quality is real blocky so I'm looking for the settings to tweak. I'm guessing the default has a 320 by 240? |
