When i got to Mythvideo it lets me browse the path i have prevously put in where my videos files are stored. Ths is a remote CIFS share on the network

The thing is, i have two CIFS shares one contains TV programs and the other contains DVD ISO images. (they are on two seperate disks so i can't combine them into one share path )

Is there any way i can put a seperate instance of Myth video in the menu (with seperate path settings) so that one invokes the TV progs share and the other invokes the DVD share ?

Or can someone think of another way to do this. Can MythDVD pick up remote images off a share instead of playing a local drive (i've not used it yet)

Couldn't you mount both of those shares into your KM system, and then just point your video path to that directory?

Mount your shows to /mnt/shows and your ISOs to /mnt/isos and then put /mnt in your video path.

I haven't tried this, but it's the way I would attempt it.

yeah i thought of doing that. I'll give it a go but it's not the ideal solution as there are other mounts below that that i wouldn't necesarily want showing to someone using it, not for anyparticular security reason but just for ease of use. my Music for instance is on another mount point and should only be seen by the music player. Likewise with my pictures and the pictures mount also contains a folder of binaries for doing builds and making changes

For simplicity i'd want the Vdeo player to drop you straight into folder of shows and the DVD player (or a second video player) to drop you straight to the ISO's

Would this work better?

1. point mythvideo back to /myth/video
2. create 2 subfolders called shows and isos
3. mount the shows share on /myth/video/shows
4. mount the isos share on /myth/video/isos

Then when you open mythvideo it should show the two folders "shows" and "isos"

And my music and binaries mounts can stay in the /mnt folder.
