I've recently updated from R5E50 using cecil's instructions to be able to use Schedule Direct (which is well worth the money I might add). I've also updated my mysql data for my Mythflix queue, which also works.

The problem I'm having is the cover art isn't showing. Instead of the description showing up, I get the html code for the cover art tied with the movie description.

Any suggestions on correcting this?

Thanks.

I'm interested in this too, looks like a broken template...

There are quite a few things broken with the Mythflix plugin in the -fixes branch. I have submitted some patches that have been accepted in the trunk that fix the image downloads as well as remove the html code. I recently submitted another patch to fix adding to the queue from Browse but it has not been accepted into the trunk yet.

To update to the trunk you would have to download, compile and install the Mythflix plugin.

Unfortunately, compiling/installing mythflix from the trunk did not fix the cover art issue.

I'm worried that I might just hose my system if I try to update mythtv from the trunk as well. Maybe I better wait a bit.

Ditto. Please keep me posted. I'd like the fix so I can show it off to my wife. I need to please her first.

Not sure why it isn't working for you. Here is what I did to get and install the trunk. Log in as mythtv.
Code:
mkdir svn
cd svn
svn co http://svn.mythtv.org/svn/trunk/mythplugins
svn co http://svn.mythtv.org/svn/branches/release-0-20-fixes/mythplugins/mythflix/mythflix
cp mythflix/main.cpp mythplugins/mythflix/mythflix/
cd mythplugins/
./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-all --enable-mythflix
qmake mythplugins.pro
make
su
make install
exit

If you want the bug fix to the browse menu I submitted but has not yet been incorporated to the trunk do the following:
Code:
cd ~/svn
wget http://www.iw.net/~brfransen/myth/mythflix_mynewchanges.cpp
cp mythflix_mynewchanges.cpp mythplugins/mythflix/mythflix/mythflix.cpp
cd mythplugins/
make
su
make install
exit

Fantastic!

I didn't realize I needed to copy main.cpp from the fixes to the trunk. I followed your instructions, and it worked.

I also incorporated your new changes before compiling. Also a success.

Thanks much!

The main.cpp has changes that are made in the trunk for .21. That is the reason for having to use main.cpp from the fixes branch.

If you are running a widescreen display try doing the following.
Code:
svn co http://svn.mythtv.org/svn/trunk/mythtv/themes/default-wide
su
cp default-wide/netflix* /usr/share/mythtv/themes/default-wide/

Everything looked good, but nothing happened if I tried to add something to my queue, or if I tried to move something in the queue to the top.

In the step where you initialize the cookie by running the netflix.pl script, I was logged in as root. Once I logged in as mythtv and ran it (twice) everything is working.

Thanks for your help!

Thank you so much for working on Mythflix. It's a big improvement now. If you see that your other patches are accepted to allow adding to the queue, let us know if you can.

Thanks again.

Does this apply to R5F27? I have the same problem as first post, but I'm not using the updated R5E50.

I did do the Widescreen fix from brfransen and that worked to show a widescreen description, however I still have html instead of cover art.

I didn't want to fudge a working system just to get a DVD cover!

[EDIT] Just tried these directions and they work great! Thanks!
