Nothing new here guys, this script has been part of KM for a while now, which is why I'm a bit embarrassed that I only just now discovered it

In a nutshell, this script is great. If you exit mplayer while watching some video, this script automatically restart mplayer the next time you watch that file exactly where you left off.

Here's how you enable it:

Simply go to Setup>Video Settings>Player Settings and change your default mplayer line to this:

In case you want to revert and didn't record the default settings:

It's been about a month and only 56 views? Did you guys all know about this or do people just not care about it?

I was actually a bit embarrassed a while ago when I discovered it because I'd already spent quite a bit of time editing this other script at http://www.mythtv.org/pipermail/mythtv-users/2006-January/120397.html. I patched my mplayer to put a bookmark in when the program exits rather than have to press a key like that script relied on. I only just got it going when I discovered the script that comes with KnoppMyth.

I've been using this script for quite a while now, but your question triggers another interesting question: How does one learn about all gems that are packaged with the KM distribution? I've opened another thread over here on this topic.
