Post subject:  recording *.rm files

hi,
my KM box is R5E50
when i go to a terminal screen and do

lynx <webaddress>xyz.rm

i can download a xyz.rm file, which appears to be a very small file.
when -after closing the lynx browser- i do

xine xyz.rm

xine starts playing this audio file (and does so fine).

is there a method to record the playing file on the KM box (as an mp3 file e.g.), which can be written to a cd e.g.

did use 'search' on the forum but got nothing back considering *.rm files.

thanks for your input/suggestions

If you use mplayer, there is an option to output the stream to a dumpfile. I did this a while ago to capture gbs.tv. The link at http://ask.metafilter.com/32867/How-to-capture-audio-streams shows how to do it. The command in that link is mplayer -dumpstream -dumpfile out.rm rtsp://blahblahblah. You could set up lynx to call a script that runs mplayer with the capture command line switches.
