km box r5e50 frontend and backend combined in 1 machine km box in ethernet network i tried mythstream from the km-box to a win98 machine in the network, using the vlc client on the win98 box. streaming works, but quality is not good: movements in the film are slow (dropouts), and sound is not synchrone. i thought is was caused by the slow km-box i have (i can play on the km box itself,(xine, vlc) but there are many dropouts (hardware is low-ended). so i tried with saving the file (option in vlc) on the win98 machine. there is a file saved, but, playing this in vlc (on the win98 machine, which is capable to display video well ), the same slowness (dropouts) and asynchrone sound shows up. tried some (not all) settings of vlc, but none did give a good result. any cue for getting this better? thanks for reading |
