I just upgraded to R4V4. During the installation I saw that there was a new desktop background. However, as I was doing an upgrade the system eventually replaced it with my old R4v2 background. Is there anyway to get the new one back?

The new background image is /usr/share/pixmaps/background.xpm. Take a look at .fvwm2rc to see where it is pointing to, change if needed.

Hi Cesman,
Can you change the default gdm login to gdmgreeter ? It looks much better, polished and a kiosk look than the default one left after the KnoppMyth installation. And can there be a button added, besides Halt & Reboot, to go to this GDM login screen.

If possible I'd like to change the Background, but I Cant find any XPM Converters or anything.

The Reason i'd like to change is because I Have to shrink the GUI Down so it will fit on the TV Screen better. My only problem is because the GUI only supports multiple of 8's as sizes, im either losing 7 pixels or so, or i'm left with a band around the border and its kindof annoying. I'd like to change the background to black so it wont come up on the TV all weird.

Can I Point it to a BMP file or otherwise?
