Right now I have my mythbox running most of the time as well as a freenas box that I use as an ftp site that I dump files onto from the office. Does knoppmyth have an ftp server installed already? That way I could get rid of my freenas box and save on electricity. I did some searching and see that others have installed FTP pro. I just thought I would ask first before trying anything. ________ Suzuki Gt380 |

No, a FTP daemon isn't included by default. My suggestion would be to use SSH. scp is a part of SSH that allows you to securely copy files to and from a system running SSH. Please be sure your firewall is configured appropriately. Please don't use the default mythtv account and password. If you are using that other OS, then google winscp. |
