I noticed there was no torrent of the most recent preview release of LinHES, so I took it upon myself to create one. It is hosted at LinuxTracker.org.

No seeders yet? Don't be shy... As soon as I get it I'll be using my massive pipe to supply it to others. (Wow, that sounds dirty! )

The Mythic TV store used to host the tracker, but if its still there it is so hidden that it isn't useful. I just spent 10 minutes looking for the tracker link and found zippo.

We should get cesman to either host the tracker or find a more reliable location for it -- maybe this LinuxTracker.org is the right place.

Woo hoo! Got it now. Everybody hear the dinner bell -- come and get it while its still hot. My fiber is open for business -- no caps, no limits. See if you can ring the 100M bell! (I've only seen a couple of times when it topped 60M/sec when seeding stuff.)

Thanks for hosting the torrent. One of the best features about R6 is Arch's rolling release model.

# pacman -Syu

Ahhhh... R6.00.08 installed in <1 min :)

Wow, I'm only seeing one seed for the torrent now? Is this tracker current?

I'm seeding but for some reason the Linux tracker has never acknowledged I exist. I have not seen very much traffic in the last few weeks, tho. I think I'll restart my seed and see if it makes any difference.

EDIT --

I see at least one problem now. http://linuxtracker.org is busted. It opens a directory listing now. :( With all the cr@p about PirateBay recently it's getting harder for the legitimate torrents to find trackers.

Graysky,

I downloaded a copy of the 6.00.09 ISO and created a torrent, with the tracker at LinuxTracker. Seeding now.

Web page: http://linuxtracker.org/index.php?page=torrent-details&id=8dc061b4b0ca2d0365ae68b356ca940c88c64123

If you download this, please seed it as well - I'm on Comcast, with their de facto 250 GB per month cap.

Also I'm going to stop seeding 6.00.08 now...

@langelgjm - I updated the LinHES page on the Arch wiki w/ your torrent. I just did a pacman -Syu on my box.

Thanks for the torrent!

You might wanna start a new topic entitled "R6.00.09 Torrent" or something... perhaps get the OP to modify this existing thread with the title and new link.

LinuxTracker.org is being attacked by a DOS. I'm having serious issues getting connected to the site. If you search google for "linux tracker" you'll see that the google bot was able to scan their site and pick up that information. I'll keep trying and in the meantime try to find another alternative.

I got right in and I'm getting the torrent now. Soon my fiber connection will be serving R6.00.09. No caps! :):):)
