I am a newbie to Linux and Mythtv. I am atempting to get KnoppMyth up and running, but I have been having limited sucess.

I am running an AMD 1700+ with 512 SDRAM
Mobo: MSI (forget model number).
Graphics: nVidia G4 Ti
Tunner: PVR250

I was able to get KnoppMyth to install only by installing in failsafe, then choosing default i686 packages.

I installed nVidia driver. Setup Zap2 and everything. mythfilldatabase seems to work ok. No errors when it goes out and gets content listings. but when I look at my channel guide in mythtv, it shows all the channels correct, but no schedule. everything is unknown.

I just downloaded the installer for R4V4.1, so I don't think I am running an outdated version. When I view the status, it says mythtfilldatabase ran sucessessfully. It then says that mythfilldatabase is still running? I don't know what this means.

Is there something I am not doing correctly?

how are you running mythfilldatabase? are you running it from the mythtv interface or cron? you shouldn't do both. And if it is giving you problems you should probably just run it from a command line and see if there are any errors, and if it completes.
