This is what happens
Code:
# apt-get install iceweasel

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
iceweasel: Depends: xulrunner-1.9 (>= 1.9.0.3-1) but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages

Any thoughts?

Just manually install it -
Download Firefox and tar zxvf firefox-xxxxx.tar.gz (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html) and follow install instructions on the Mozilla site (NOT Wiki). Then install Flash Player (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/). Good luck...

Agreed. The right procedure for installing software on any linux system is (truncated after first two) is:
1. Install the package throught a package manager. If this fails...
2. Install a compiled binary

Seems that 1. has failed for you.

+1 for downloading it yourself in this case.

Literally just untar it to say /myth/firefox then change the owner on that dir (chown -R mythtv:mythtv /myth/firefox). Finally make a link or entry in your fluxbox menu for it.

Well, if we're being complete here :-)

Put it in your path. Edit /etc/profile and add ':/myth/firefox/firefox' to the PATH line
