I've been tinkering with my mythgame in hopes of getting decent snes / nes emulation. I've figured out how to get a decent sized window (still no full screen) and use my usb gamepad with zsnes9x. My problem now is when i select a game with the remote, it will launch the game but not in focus. So then I have to go to the keyboard and ALT+TAB to focus on the emulator. How do I configure mythtv to focus on newly launched apps? I think I had this working at one point in time, but I don't know what I changed that would have made it stop. Also, I would like to be able to quit the emulated game with my remote, but after searching on the forum, it seems like this would be over my head.

Giving focus to a window isn't a function of MythTV but rather the Window Manager. If this isn't occuring, that a look at ~/.fvwm/.fvwm2rc. You can get the FVWM site for greater details. You maybe able to modifiy lircrc to preformed the function you seek(quitting via remote). Don't forget to backup the original files before playing!

weirdness - I was about to edit the file you suggested, and wanted to launch a game to find out the window name. And it came up in focus. I just don't get it at all. But it works (at least for now)

Ok, now i'm really confused. So mythgame started launching in focus. And now my usb controller doesn't work. But it used to. What gives? Anyone? Bueller?
