I ran into a bug with lighttpd where it would eat up all the memory. This bug is fixed in the latest version 1.4.26 so I am trying to compile the source but I am hesitant to install it. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me any options that were used. So far all I did:

./configure --prefix="/usr"
make

It seems to have compiled correctly and I was going to just manually copy and overwrite any files and libraries I saw so no configuration option would be affected on LinHES, but I noticed that I didn't have the libraries listed in /usr/lib/lighttpd/ in the src directory. In the src directory I see mod_access.lo instead on the mod_access.so that is currently listed so I think I must not have set a configuration option correctly.

@op - please open a flyspray task to have the devs update the official LinHES package.

Already opened a flyspray task. I am just trying to figure out how to do it myself. I might not bother cause I don't want to mess up my install.

Probably good advice.

OK, so I fired up my test LinHES install under Virtualbox and had a go at creating a new lighttpd package. It actually went quite smoothly.

Here is a link (sorry about Rapidshare):

http://rapidshare.com/files/348918226/l ... ar.gz.html

just download then install with
Code:
pacman -U lighttpd-1.4.26-1-i686.pkg.tar

Disclaimer: I've not really tested this so use at your own risk however you should be able to get back to stock with
Code:
pacman -S lightttpd

Best of Luck!

Martian
