This whole post seems outta place.. FTA channels are the ONLY dvb source incouraged, or supported.. is Nimiq1 part of bev.. or is it a FTA (free to air)?

it is part of B3v and not FTA.
Where would be a good place to find more info on the use of Mythtv with North American Satellites?

What is B3v? You should be able to use MythTV with it, but you'll need a "box" from your provider since the stream is encrypted.
