| Post subject: | SD show over HD is squished |
I've been recording some shows that were originally broadcast in SD (like Seinfeld), now they're broadcast OTA in HD with black bars on either side and I'm trying to watch them on my SD TV. I'm recording with a HDHomeRun. I've set up my transcoder to resize to 720xAuto which works well for HD shows, but it ends up squishing the video for SD shows so that the people look very skinny. I've tried adding some custom filters to crop the show, but they seem to be ignored. Has anybody else had this problem? What did you do to solve it? |
