Have you looked at MythWeb? I think it will do what you want. |

I dont entirely understand what you mean by manual recording.. I would guess you mean.. Manualy selecting a show to record. if that is the case. just use mythweb and click on a show in the web-based epg. it will bring up a screen and choose "record show once" or something like that.. Is that what you were asking? |

no. start at mythtv's main menu on your TV. select "TV" select "Schedule Recordings" select "Manual Schedule" this brings you to a screen called "Manual Recording Scheduler", which allows one to enter the channel, date, time, length, and info for performing a manually scheduled recording -- sort of like the VCR's of past. i have several inputs and would like to set up manual scheduling remotely. i.e., i would like to do the above from the command line via ssh or via mythweb -- and not via the TV's displayed dialogs. ideas? jim ps i can think of one other way to do this: is there a command line SQL prototype which i could use to enter a "SHOW" into the program db? in other words, i could first populate the "SHOW" info (chan, time, etc) into the db via the shell, then open up MythWeb to select that "SHOW" for recording. how about that? |

No MythWeb doesn't allow this(perhaps in the future). If you knew what SQL commands to import, I suppose it can be done from the shell. Of course once you know what SQL to use, you can use Webmin to do the same. |
