Remote wont work no matter what I try. installed correct i686 packages. Re-installed using install-i686-lx.

install failed do to a so-called missing file. dpkg -r mythtv-<tab> then dpkg -r mythtv....deb (or something to that matter).

re-ran install-i686-lx sucess.
reboot.

watching tv= remote still wont work.

xterm - irw. no response from remote.

Any help? I am a newbie, and I have ran out of ideas as far as what to do.

btw: batteries are brand new and installed correctly

I put the card in my Windows box. Still didnt work. So maybe I got a bad remote. Im going to get another card this week and try it. This time I will install it in the windows box first and make sure it is working correctly before I install it in the mythtv box.

Check the batteries on the remote? Also, did you have the cable plugged into the pvr250 card? there is a hole for it
