Post subject: | Problem while mplex splits a source into multiple segments |
Hi, I am trying to use mencoder to convert my recordings into mpeg2 for later burning on DVD. Following are the steps that I follow: 1) Convert recording into mpeg2 using mencoder(and audio also mpg2 in the target file at 224 kbps) 2) extract audio and video into mpa and m2v files respectivley using mplayer's dumpaudio and dumpvideo options. 3) Multiplex files obtained above to get a vob file. I use mplex -S 976 -f 8 -h options apart from providing file names. 4) If step three succeeds, I use DVDStyler to create DVD(This I do on Windows Machine). Version on mplex used in step 3 is 1.6.0 The step three runs into problem if it splits files (i.e. target file becomes larger than 976Mbytes). The first file is processed ok by DVDStyler, but it tries to fix the second and subsequent vobs because it 'Cannot find System Header' and tries to remultiplex it. The program mplex fails with error. My question is : How to get mplex multiplex AND split files so that DVDStyler does not find any problem with those. Also I must tell you that when the mplex splits the file, I gives following warning: ++ WARN: [mplex] File size exceeded before split-point in video stream Thanks in advance PK [/b] |
