NO. If there was, you'd find no such information on this forum. If in the future there is, you'll find no such information on this forum.

You'll need a cable box from your cable company and paid subscription. Pipe the video/audio output of the cable box to your myth box and control the channel changes with either a serial connection or some sort of ir transmitter.

Problem being is that my cable company adelphia wont turn on the rs232 port in back of the motorolla.. :evil: its not "Their policy" so im stuck with basic cable, when actualy i get one year of free extented cable.....

why would that keep you from getting anything? you should be able to use an irblaster to change the channels as easily as the serial port, unless you are planing on running some sort of hack through the serial port to get your "free" extended services.

you can easily have mythtv change the channels on your motorola set-top box, via an IR transmitter that you can build for less than $10.

use my writeup here ->
http://losdos.dyndns.org:8080/public/my ... _LIRC.html

and substitute the proper /etc/ledxmitd.conf for your specific cable box. including the trip to radio shack this project is no more than 2 hours to completion.
