Post subject: | Remote Control Features |
Is it possible to add features to the remote control. From my basic usage so far and my experience as a ReplayTV subscriber this is what I feel I would want my remote to do. 1. Scan - both forward and backwards at 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 20x, etc. 2. Program guide - simple push of a button calls up the guide, plus whenever I select a channel it wants to record it. Can I just tune to the channel? 3. Browse - one push of a button and I am in browse mode. 4. Stop - When recording a push of a button to get it to stop recording 5. Slow Motion - Anyway to see something in slow motion? I am sure all of these features are probably there and I just can't access them right now with my remote. I have a PVR-250 with the Hauppauge remote. I am sure I have a lot to learn to unleash the power of Myth but so far I like it much better then the windows alternatives. |

I'd say it all depends on how many buttons your remote has.... |

you would need to look for the keys.txt file to see if the functions you want are available, then you would need to edit your /home/mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc file appropriately, I think it should be obvious what to do once you open that file and look at what it's doing. |

not sure about that card, haven't seen it before. That would be a question for the ivtv mailing list. |

It is MCE compatible and is the first ATI card with a hardware encoder on it. |
