How does one remove a video from mythvideo? Is it simply a matter of deleting the file from /myth/video, or should I remove the entries from the database, and then the files?

You can just rm the file, the next time you enter the video manager it will update the database for new/removed files.

I'm sure you have probably figured this out already, but if for whatever reason you want to keep the file, but not have it show up in MythVideo you can go into the video manager and edit the file (by hitting 0-9) and uncheck the box that says browsable (or something close to that.) Or you can always just move it out of the /myth/video folder...but that's obvious.

And what about the opposite?
I mean, if I want to keep the record in MythVideo of an .avi file that not longer exists?

In fact my situation is the following:

- I have a lot of MPEG4 CDs and I would like to have them listed in Mythvideo (with all IMDB information,etc..).

At the moment, I managed to do the following :

- I've created a /myth/video/mnt directory, in which I mount the CD drive.
- With Video Manager, I add the movie and then grab any information from IMDB.
- But if I want to add a new movie from another CD with the same procedure, the previous movie is deleted (of course).

Has anyone had the same idea as me?.. or perhaps a better way to achieve it.?
