I have a M-Audio Revolution 7.1 sound card and would like to output sound from the S/PDIF Coaxial output. I am a ALSA newbie and have no clue where to start. Has anyone else gotten S/PDIF output with any card, not just the Revolution 7.1? How would I set up a asoundrc file? Any online resources I should check out. I looked at alsa-project.org and its mailing lists but I could not find anything. Thanks, |

you may want to search the mythtv list they had a thread about using 5.1 surround a little while back, and you may be able to glean some info from that. |
