Putty(unless I'm mistaken) doesn't allow you to transfer files. If you want to use scp to transfer files from KnoppMyth boxen to Windows then you'll need WinSCP(Google for it...). |

Putty comes with some dos command line utils pscp.exe, etc. I've used them, but I throw up every time I have to use a dos prompt. ![]() |

I am glad this can be done (I do not have internet access quite yet to my MythTV), but can you tell us how to do this? Do you need to use a crossover cable from the one computer to the other? I can find my IP address in the xterm area using the ifconfig command, but the only IP address I see is the loopback 127.0.0.1 address. How do I change that configuration so that I can enter in a real IP address into my windows box using WSP or whatever that program is called? Thanks! |

Network the systems together via cross over or hub/switch. As root netcardconfig. |
