If you're so strapped that you can't find FIVE freakin dollars a month try this:

1. Stop bathing, shaving and changing your clothes (this saves on the water bill too)
2. Get an old coffee cup, some pencils, and a pair of dark glasses.
3. Sit just outside the train station at rush hour.
People will just GIVE YOU money; It's amazing!!!

If it doesn't work right away, try saying "Change?" as people walk by -- you have to mumble and shout at the same time though, which is pretty hard to pull off effectively.

on this side of the country that won't work. We barely have trains, part of why everyone uses their car.

You need to follow steps 1 and 2 above,

West Coast Step 3
Get a ratty piece of Cardboard and write on it,
{/Quote}Will Work for Food! Please help.{Quote}

West Coast Step 4
Stand next to a Freeway offramp or a Traffic light.

West Coast Step 5
Kind of Shake your little sign. They will toss $20 bills at you as they stop.

btw: if you can't find a ratty piece of Cardboard a new one will do provided you rough it up and bend it abit...

Editorial: With only one stoplight and a small enough community eveyrone knows you we don't have that, But I have traveled to the City and seen it in action!
